After building a DIY foundry to recycle the metal scrap from our DIY machine shop, we wanted to build a machine that can recycle our plastic scrap as well. We built SHREDII, a tiny yet very powerful DIY shredding device that recycles our 3D prints and other various plastics into small shreds that we can then use in INJEKTO 2.0 (desktop-size plastic injection machine). Our ultimate goal was to reduce the plastic waste we produce and the process was definitely very challenging.
