3D Printing
Help manage odors and airborne emissions from desktop FDM, resin, and other 3D printing workflows.

Keep VOCs, ultrafine particles and solder smoke out of your air. The Stainless Steel Ventilation Box is a ducted fume extraction enclosure built for desktop machines: FDM and resin 3D printers, soldering and rework stations, laser engravers, and the INJEKTO 3 desktop injection molding machine. Instead of filtering and recirculating, it pulls contaminated air out through a rear-mounted fan and vents it outside through standard flexible ducting.
Features
Use cases
3D printer enclosure and fume containment, soldering and desoldering fume extraction, hot-end and ABS/ASA off-gassing, resin post-processing, plastic injection molding with INJEKTO 3, epoxy and adhesive work, laser engraving.

Stainless Steel Fume Ventilation Safety Enclosure with Fire-Containment Design for 3D Printing, Soldering & More
Built for cleaner workspaces
Capture fumes, smoke, and airborne particles at the source across your workshop, lab, or production space.
Help manage odors and airborne emissions from desktop FDM, resin, and other 3D printing workflows.
Capture soldering smoke and flux fumes while assembling electronics, wiring, and prototypes.
Position ventilation near your INJEKTO 3 workspace to help control plastic fumes during small-batch molding. Two ventilation boxes stacked are required for INJEKTO 3 to fit.
Help manage smoke and fumes from light, occasional welding and brazing at the bench. Best suited to low-spatter work positioned away from the duct inlet.
Help capture smoke and odors during wax, resin and MASTE burnout cycles.
Support localized extraction for light-duty cutting, engraving, and material processing setups.
Here are the most frequently asked questions about the ventilation box.
How It Works
The built-in fan pulls air out of the enclosure and ducts it outside your workspace. Nothing is recirculated, and there are no filters to buy or replace.
The fan creates negative pressure inside, so room air flows continuously inward across the face and out the duct. You get full access to your machine and correct airflow at the same time, the same principle a laboratory fume hood uses.
A benchtop unit filters a small area and returns the air to your room. This encloses your entire work area and removes the air from the building.
It will not contribute fuel in a fire, which matters with heated machines running unattended. It also shrugs off IPA, acetone and uncured resin, all of which cloud and craze plastic over time.
Wipe it down with IPA or any shop cleaner. It's bare stainless, so there is no coating to damage.
Two 1.5 inch (38 mm) diameter grommeted pass-throughs in the back panel. Enough for a power cable, USB cables and filament together, sized so airflow stays where you want it.
What It's For
ABS, ASA, nylon and polycarbonate printing, resin printing and post-processing, soldering and rework, injection molding, and adhesive or epoxy work. Anything that off-gasses while you work.
It is one of the best use cases. Run it during printing, washing and curing to move resin vapor and IPA outdoors.
Yes, it was designed around it. Injection molding off-gasses continuously through barrel heat-up and purging, so extraction matters throughout the session. To use it with INJEKTO, you must stack two ventilation boxes on top of each other.
Yes for small diode engravers. 310 CFM handles typical engraving loads.
Fit
The box measures 24 x 24 x 24 in (61 x 61 x 61 cm) on the outside, with a 22 x 22 x 22 in (56 x 56 x 56 cm) interior. Allow 9 in (23 cm) behind it for the duct to bend without kinking, and keep the front clear so you can reach your machine.
Confirmed fits include the Bambu Lab P1S, P1P, X1C and A1 mini, the Creality K1 and K1C, and Elegoo Mars-series resin printers. Interior is 22 x 22 x 22 in, and most fully enclosed CoreXY printers up to 20 x 20 x 20 in will fit comfortably.
Yes, if you purchase two or more units, you can stack them to create a bigger ventilation chamber.
